Testimonial: “Can you send us some Uncle Dan’s Mom?”

Looking back over my 35 years, I can’t remember a Christmas or Holiday that did not include Uncle Dan’s Country Dill dip. As my two brother’s and I have grown up and moved all over the country we’ve found ourselves in places that don’t carry Uncle Dan’s. For many years now, when the holidays roll around and Mom calls to ask us what we want for Christmas, all three of us ask for the same thing; “Can you send us some Uncle Dan’s Mom?” We follow the recipe on the back but use salad dressing or Miracle Whip instead of Mayonnaise which gives it an extra kick. So from the Gritten family, thank you Uncle Dan’s for sharing so many Christmas’s with us.

A salad just isn’t a salad without Uncle Dan’s dressing. The first time I ever tasted Uncle Dan’s is when I flew to Washington from Atlanta, GA. My sister was giving my Mom and Dad a party for their 50th wedding anniversary. The dinner was given at a private club house on a golf course on the bay. There was prime rib, Alaskan King Crab, BBQ ribs, crab dip, cheese cakes and a million other luscious dishes. But when the salad was served, I was astounded at the taste of the ranch dressing on the salad. On the east coast, we don’t have Uncle Dan’s available to us so I had never heard of it. From that point on, my sister sent 6 packages of the dressing home with me. When I ran out of the dressing, she would send me more, more, more. They were used up so fast mainly for salad dressing, but for various other dishes too. I was always complimented on my dip at family gatherings and parties. I finally found Uncle Dan’s website and was never without the dressing again. I was just sorry I couldn’t buy it in our super markets in Atlanta. There should be a market for Uncle Dan’s on the east coast. I know how southern people love food, and I also know Uncle Dan’s would be a huge hit. Especially for their southern hot wings, not to mention how people love a good ranch dressing for dipping veggies and on their salads. All I can say is, there is no better ranch dressing on the market than Uncle Dan’s. Once you’ve tasted it, you’ll never go back to any other brand. It’s just a fact. I make mine with buttermilk and mayo together and mix a sprinkle of fresh garlic in the jar in the dressing. It gives it a tiny kick. Oh yummmmmmmmmmy!!!!!
