BBQ Mac & Cheese Skillet with a Cheesy Kick

Ingredients

  • 1 lb elbow macaroni
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk (whole or 2%)
  • 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1 tbsp Uncle Dan’s Trophy Spice – Gramps 3 Cheese
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce (plus more for drizzle)
  • 1 cup chopped cooked bacon or pulled pork (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large oven-safe skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1–2 minutes.
  3. Slowly add milk, whisking constantly, until the mixture thickens (about 4–5 minutes).
  4. Reduce heat to low. Stir in cheddar, mozzarella, and Uncle Dan’s Trophy Spice – Gramps 3 Cheese. Mix until cheese is melted and smooth.
  5. Add BBQ sauce and cooked pasta, stirring to coat evenly. Add meat if using.
  6. Optional: Top with more shredded cheese and place skillet under broiler for 2–3 minutes for a bubbly, golden finish.
  7. Drizzle with extra BBQ sauce and sprinkle with parsley before serving.
