Classic Chili for Chili Day


  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoon Uncle Dan's Original Southern Classic Ranch seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


  1. In a large pot over medium heat, brown the meat along with the chopped onion and bell pepper until the meat is no longer pink and the vegetables are softened.
  2. Add the diced tomatoes, drained kidney beans, beef broth, chili powder, and Uncle Dan's Original Southern Classic Ranch seasoning to the pot. Stir to combine all the ingredients well.
  3. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat and continue to simmer for at least 30 minutes. The longer it simmers, the more the flavors will meld together.
  4. Season the chili with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning as needed to suit your palate.
