This Loaded Baked Potato Salad is a flavorful twist on the classic potato salad. Creamy mashed potatoes are combined with the savory goodness of Uncle Dan's Classic Ranch Seasoning and Salad Dressing, chopped green onions, crispy bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese. The addition of mayonnaise and sour cream creates a luscious dressing that brings everything together. Whether you're serving it as a side dish for a barbecue or a potluck, this loaded potato salad is sure to be a crowd-pleaser!


  • 1 packet Uncle Dan's Classic Ranch Seasoning and Salad Dressing
  • 5 pounds potatoes
  • 1 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 cup chopped bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cups sour cream


  1. Peel and dice the potatoes into small cubes.
  2. In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the diced potatoes and cook until they are fork-tender and easily fall apart, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. While the potatoes are cooking, cook the bacon in a separate skillet until crispy. Remove from the skillet and let it cool. Once cooled, chop it into small pieces.
  4. Drain the cooked potatoes and transfer them to a large mixing bowl.
  5. Add the chopped green onions, chopped bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream to the bowl with the potatoes.
  6. Sprinkle the packet of Uncle Dan's Classic Ranch Seasoning and Salad Dressing over the ingredients in the bowl.
  7. Mix all the ingredients together with gloved hands or a fork until well combined and evenly coated.
  8. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  9. Serve the loaded baked potato salad immediately or refrigerate for a few hours to allow the flavors to meld together before serving.
