Uncle Dan's Loaded Potato Blast

Ingredients

  • 1 package Uncle Dan’s Classic Ranch Seasoning and Salad Dressing
  • 5 pounds of potatoes
  • 1 cup of chopped green onions
  • 1 cup of chopped bacon
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup of mayonnaise
  • 2 cups of sour cream

Instructions

  1. Cut potatoes into bite-sized pieces and boil until tender. Let them cool in the fridge for 30-60 minutes.
  2. While the potatoes are boiling, cook the bacon until crispy and crumble it.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled potatoes, Uncle Dan's Classic Ranch Seasoning, chopped onions, bacon, cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Fold everything together using (gloved) hands or a spatula.
  4. For a lovely finishing touch, you can hold back some of the green onion, bacon, and cheese and sprinkle them over the top as a garnish.
  5. Optional: add a sprinkle of paprika for an extra pop of color.

Good catch! We updated the recipe, it’s in step 3 that you add the mix.

Hello! When do I actually add the salad dressing mix to this potato salad?

With this loaded ranch potato salad your first ingredient is classic ranch seasoning and salad dressing, but in the instructions there is no mention what to do with it. I am going to assume it just gets mixed in with the mayo etc.

This recipe looks good, but I don’t see any directions for when you add the seasoning mix. Do you prepare it before adding it, or add it dry????

It may be a man thing but when & how does one add the dressing, it seem to be missing from the instructions
