Elevate your appetizer game with these Italian-inspired Pancetta and Mushroom Crostini. The combination of savory pancetta, earthy mushrooms, tangy artichoke hearts, and burst of flavors from Uncle Dan's Italian Italienne dressing mix creates a delicious topping for crispy baguette slices. The lemon zest, fresh thyme, and Italian parsley add brightness and freshness to this delightful appetizer. Perfect for parties, gatherings, or as an elegant starter to any meal.


  • 1 packet Uncle Dan's Italian Italienne Dressing Mix
  • 1 cup chopped Pancetta
  • 2 cups quartered brown mushrooms
  • 2 cups coarsely chopped artichoke hearts
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved or quartered
  • Zest from two lemons
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tablespoon chopped Italian parsley
  • 1 baguette loaf


  1. Render the Pancetta in a pan until crispy. Strain and reserve the fat.
  2. In the same pan with the reserved fat, add Uncle Dan's Italian Italienne dressing mix and sauté the mushrooms until golden brown.
  3. Add the artichoke hearts and cherry tomatoes to the pan and heat through.
  4. Stir in half of the lemon zest and half of the thyme. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Slice the baguette into 1/4-inch diagonal slices (crostini) and lightly toast them.
  6. Top the toasted baguette slices with the Pancetta and mushroom mixture.
  7. Garnish with the remaining lemon zest, Italian parsley, and fresh thyme.
